I know what you mean about the computer. Mine was out of comission for like 2 months, and even though I have a new one now, I can't get back in the swing of it. I say "Do it!" with going back to school. Going back to school for me has been so awesome. It's a little stressful and overwhelming sometimes, but if you start out slowly, maybe just one class, I bet you will be really happy!
Mine is broken too! It seriously sucks, I'm feeling your pain lady!!
